On December 15, at 4:37 AM, deputies from the Eastvale Police Department responded to a report of attempted burglary, that just occurred in the 6400 block of Caxton. The homeowner was leaving his residence to go work, when he saw the suspect, later identified as Jason Rene Flores, a 30-year-old resident of Eastvale, attempting to enter his locked garage door. Flores had entered the property through an unlocked side gate. When confronted by the homeowner, Flores fled on foot and was chased down by the homeowner and detained until deputies arrived. Flores was arrested for attempt burglary and being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
