INCIDENT: Threats to Deputy, Resisting Arrest

LOCATION: Carbon Canyon Road and Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills

SUSPECT(S): Camille Knox, 18- year-old resident of Chino Hills

VICTIM(S): San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Sergeant

SUMMARY: On Sunday, November 4, 2018, at about 1:30 A.M., deputies from the Chino Hills Police Department responded to numerous 911 calls from motorists regarding a female standing in the roadway who was nearly struck by passing vehicles. Upon arrival, Knox was standing in the middle of the road on Carbon Canyon. When police attempted to contact her, she immediately fled, and a lengthy foot pursuit ensued. Knox threatened to kill the deputy and continued resisting. She was taken into custody and transported to the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.
