Vigilant Citizen helps deputies find and arrest armed robbery suspect

INCIDENT: PC 211 – Strong Arm Robbery

LOCATION: 1400 block of Carbon Canyon Road, Chino Hills

SUSPECT(S): Christian Wallace, 25 years old, resident of Placentia

Sandra Garcia, 19 years old, resident of Placentia

Taylor Navarrette, 24 years old, (female), resident of Placentia.

SUMMARY:

On Monday, October 29, 2018 at 9:00 p.m., deputies from the Chino Hills Station responded to the 1400 block of Carbon Canyon Road in Chino Hills following a report of an armed robbery at a Circle K convenience store.

The suspect, later identified as Christian Wallace, entered the convenience store and demanded money. The cashier gave Wallace an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled on foot to an awaiting dark colored sedan. A witness followed Wallace as he drove away from the scene and was able to obtain a partial license plate of the vehicle. Chino Hills deputies forwarded the description of the suspect vehicle to surrounding agencies. Brea Police Department located the suspect vehicle and conducted a stop. Wallace and two female occupants were detained without incident. Chino Hills deputies responded and took custody of the suspects.

Cash and other evidence linking the suspects to the robbery were recovered from the vehicle. All three were arrested for armed robbery and booked into West Valley Detention Center.
