Eastvale – Eastvale continues to grow and come together despite all that is happening. Below is an update on what’s going on in the community, information courtesy of the City of Eastvale.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has kept our community safe and are going the extra mile to keep safety as priority through the holiday season. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting increased patrols at the Eastvale Gateway Shopping Center starting on Black Friday through Christmas. In addition, RSO will also be providing traffic control at the Amazon Distribution center at no additional cost to the City.

The Eastvale City Hall has grown and you may see these new faces: Senior Community & Building Safety Specialist Tamara Marquez and our Community & Building Safety Specialist Sonia Sanchez. These two positions were recently transitioned from contract services to in-house City staff positions, which combined with the other positions brought in-house, saves the City over $600K annually.

The Building and Safety Front Counter is available to process your water, solar, pool, and patio cover permits. They are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. and by appointment in the afternoon. You can check-in to the front counter through the City website.

In early November, the City of Eastvale was honored to be recognized with multiple awards from the Public Relations Society of America PRSA Inland Empire Chapter

One of the awards was in the ‘writing’ category reflecting on an embrace with Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Deanna Myers and a Eleanor Roosevelt High School student, Elysia Matthews, during the Black Lives Matter protests in June 2020.

The City also received an award for their “Did you Know” video series featuring our Communications Department, where we share information with our community so they can be informed champions.

Along with the “We are the City of Eastvale” video, which humanized the City Hall staff and why they choose to serve our community to form connections with the people we serve.

On Nov. 9, Norco College announced that they have broken ground on the new Veterans Resource Center. This new Center will expand and enhance programs and services to veteran students by offering college credit for previous military service, counseling, mental health services, and access to community and veterans resources. On Nov. 5, the City of Eastvale also received the Arts Innovation Award from the Inland Empire Economic Partnership – IEEP during their 8th Annual Turning Red Tape to Red Carpet Virtual Awards Ceremony for our now award winning mural themed, Past, Present, and Future, entitled Eastvale: We Built this City, painted by local resident artist/muralist Rosemary Vasquez-Tuthill!

This mural was created with the Incredible vision by our community and City Council to celebrate and document our 10th Anniversary of Incorporation as the State’s 2nd youngest City.
