Eastvale – There are several local events coming up in the surrounding cities. Mark your calendars for the events below.

City of Eastvale’s Kids Bike Skills Day

When: December 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where: River Heights Intermediate School

Details: This event is open to young cyclists of all skill levels. Led by certified instructors, the City’s interactive workshops “focus on building essential biking skills, boosting confidence, and promoting safe riding habits. Participants will engage in fun, skill-building exercises tailored to their age and ability, from basic balancing techniques to navigating obstacles. Whether they’re just learning to ride or looking to improve their skills, this event offers a great opportunity to learn and grow in a safe, supportive environment.” Registration is encouraged but not required for participation. Red Cross Blood Drive

When: Thursday, December 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Miracle on Citrus Street

When: December 14 and 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Where: 13200 Citrus Street in Eastvale

Details: The event will feature a North Pole Express train ride, snow field and slides, festive arts and crafts, seasonal food and treats, and much more. Parking and admission for Miracle on Citrus Street is FREE. Join the enchanting holiday train ride, available December 14 and 15, from approximately 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) Courses

When: December 2024 and March 2025

Details: This engaging 20-hour program will prepare you with vital disaster response skills, including fire safety, light search and rescue, and medical operations. Sessions will take place over a weekend, with Friday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fill out the interest form at https://forms.gle/jDGVCyMZJ6BFSJTv8 and be among the first to get updates and registration info.

Candy Cane Lane

When: December 18 starting at 6 pm

Where: Starting at Eastvale Gateway

Details: The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station and Fire Stations 27 and 31 will partner once again for this year’s Candy Cane Lane. You can expect to see RSO, CAL Fire, and the City hopping around town, passing out candy canes at the locations listed on the City’s map. Please be aware that the times listed are approximate, as traffic and other delays may occur.

Veterans Day Ceremony

When: November 11, 2024 at 8 a.m.

Where: American Heroes Park

Details: Join for a special Veterans Day Ceremony hosted by the City of Eastvale, JCSD, and the Eastvale Chamber of Commerce as they honor the brave men and women who have served our country. The event will feature a presentation of the colors, the national anthem, a veteran guest speaker, a special tribute, and an opportunity to express our gratitude to our local veterans.

Meet with the Mayor

When: November 12 at 6 pm

Where: Eastvale City Hall

Details: The date of Mayor Dinco’s final traveling town hall of the year has been moved to November 12. This event will provide an opportunity for community members to raise questions about important local issues. All residents are invited to attend for an evening of community engagement and connection.

Earthquake Preparedness

When: Thursday, November 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Where: Pinnacle Room at the Eastvale Community Center

Details: The Eastvale Chamber of Commerce, the City of Eastvale, and JCSD will be hosting an event open to all residents to focus on earthquake preparedness. They’ll share essential safety information and provide guidance on obtaining emergency assistance and kits. County Emergency Services Coordinator will be presenting at this event.

Fire & Police Appreciation Luncheon

When: Tuesday, December 3 at 11:30 a.m.

Where: New Day Christian Church

Residential Clean Up and Paper Shredding

When: September 28, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Where: Ramirez Intermediate School

Details: Partnering with Waste Management, this FREE event allows you to drop off approved items and shred up to 4 banker boxes per household. Don’t forget to bring a photo ID and either the flyer or a WM bill to confirm your residency. View the graphics on the City of Eastvale Facebook page for the list of accepted items. Protecting the Trees

Eastvale State of the City

When: October 3 at 5 p.m.

Details: The theme is “Pillars of Progress: Eastvale’s Unfolding Legacy.” At the event, Mayor Christian Dinco will highlight prominent pillars of our community like public safety, economic development, community organizations, and more! To ensure a seat, make sure you register on the City website.

Sunset Cinema Drive-In movie

When: October 5; Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the movies will begin at dusk.

Where: Riverview Recreation Park (14600 Baron Drive)

Details: Admission is just $20 per vehicle and the snack bar will be open. The movies will be Hotel Transylvania and Sixth Sense.

Eek!Vale Halloween Festival

When: Saturday, October 19, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: 13200 Citrus Street, Eastvale

Details: The free festival will feature a wide range of activities, including trunk-or-treat, a children’s costume contest, live entertainment, food vendors, a variety of games, a community ofrenda, pumpkin patch, and the famous haunted maze. This year, there is a child friendly maze option. The mazes will run from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitors are asked to send photos of their loved ones to events@eastvaleca.gov by October 10, and they will be printed and display on the Community Ofrenda, along with treats and music.

Passport Day

When: Saturday, October 12, 2024

Romans Road To Salvation Classic Car Show

Passport Day of 2024

Eastvale – There are several upcoming events coming to Eastvale and the surrounding cities.

The International Food Festival will be held on May 20 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and May 21 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 7447 Scholar Way, Eastvale. Parking and admission are FREE and everyone is welcome to attend.

The food festival will have more than 50 food vendors and 20 craft booths. They’ll have every type of food including burgers, hotdogs, Caribbean food, BBQ, tacos, donuts, kettle corn, soul food, and more. The festival will also have children’s activities, a beer garden, and entertainment. On May 20, an Armed Forces Tribute will take place at 5:30 p.m. The ceremony will include a special military plane flyover and tribute by a guest U.S. Military Veteran. “We are proud to support our Armed Forces and encourage attendees to join us at this special tribute,” stated the City. “A very special thank you also goes to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Explorers and Eastvale Boy Scout Troop 251 for their help with the ceremony.”

Another event coming up is the Koroneburg Renaissance Festival in Corona. This annual festival will take place for 5 weekends, starting May 27th. The festival will be held at 14600 Baron Drive in Corona and will have a theme with different discounts each weekend. For more information, read the article on page 1 or visit renfestcorona.com. An additional event that we have been waiting for is the Mulch & Compost Giveaway. This event has been postponed twice due to unforeseen circumstances, but it is now expected to take place on Saturday, June 3 at 13200 Citrus Street. Eastvale residents can visit from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. to receive FREE mulch and compost. Residents are asked to bring shovels and bags as those will not be provided and asked to keep in mind of the ½ yard limit.

One more festival coming up is the EATSvale Food Truck Festival on Friday, June 9 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. This will take place at the New Day Christian Church parking lot, located at 7155 Hamner Avenue in Eastvale. Each EATSvale festival usually has food trucks, food booths, craft-retail booths, live music performances, a mini-beer garden, and children’s activities.

If you’re looking for a great time with good people, the Riverside Christian Alliance Church is having FREE Boba and lunch after their Father’s Day service on June 18. Their service is at 10:30 a.m. then a Bible Study follows at 11:30 a.m. The lunch will begin at 12:15 p.m. Check out their ad on page 8 for more information and to sign up your kids for their summer VBS program.  

Lastly, the City of Eastvale will be partnering with the Eastvale Chamber of Commerce to host their 13th Annual State of the City on Thursday, October 5. This event will take place at 5:30 p.m. at VantagePoint Church, 8500 Archibald Avenue. This year’s theme is “Community, Pride, Prosperity.” These three words are listed at the bottom of the City’s seal. “Those three words represent the foundation of our city, and we’re excited to spend the night focusing on our roots and sharing how we’ll continue to prioritize those values,” stated the City in a news release. After the program, the Taste of Eastvale event will take place and feature the best food in Eastvale.

Eastvale’s Mulch & Compost Giveaway

When: Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Where: 13200 Citrus Street, Eastvale

Details: Eastvale residents can receive FREE mulch and compost at this event. Residents will be asked to provide their ID, sign a liability waiver, bring bags and shovels, and will be limited to ½ yard of mulch/compost.

The City is hosting this event because all cities are required to comply with Assembly Bill 1826 and Senate Bill 1383, which focus on organic waste recycling and reducing short-lived climate pollutants. Therefore, the city is partnering with Waste Management to provide this first-ever giveaway.

Run4Kids 5k and Fun Run

When: Saturday, March 25, 2023

Where: Auburndale Intermediate School, 1250 W. Parkridge Avenue, Norco

Details: 100 Mile Club as they are hosting two FREE events on March 25th. The first event will be a Run4Kids 5k starting at 8:00 a.m. and the second event will be a Free Fun Run beginning at 10:00 a.m. Runners will be able to enjoy a run, snacks, music, and activities. Blood Drive at Clara Barton

The Eastvale Kiwanis and the ERHS Key Club are teaming up with many local organizations to host yet another Earth Day Clean Up. Everyone is invited to meet at Harada Heritage Park at 9 a.m. to receive roadway assignments. After the clean up, everyone is invited back to the park to enjoy lunch.

Move Through Motivation’s Scholarship 5k Walk/Run

When: Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 7:30 am

Where: Eastvale Community Park, 12750 Citrus St., Eastvale

Eastvale’s International Food Festival

CERT Training

When: January 27 to January 29, 2023

Details: This FREE training is 20 hours spread out over the course of three days and will cover basic response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Visit www.eastvaleCA.gov/CERT to register.

Riverside County Small Business Conference

When: February 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Marriott Riverside

Cost: $25 per ticket

Details: The City of Eastvale is partnering with the Small Business Development Center as they provide the education, resources, and information needed to grow and drive revenue to your business. Lantern Festival

When: February 18 and 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: 7447 Scholar Way, Eastvale

Details: Eastvale is partnering with Panana Night Market and Yaamava Resort & Casino for this year’s Lantern Festival. They will be celebrating the Lunar New Year by taking the Lantern Festival to the streets. There are currently 150 vendors so far but you can submit vendor inquiries to events@eastvaleca.gov.

Eastvale – There are a variety of family fun events coming up in Eastvale that you don’t want to miss.

JCSD is hosting their annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 1. The event will take place from 3 pm to 9 pm at Harada Heritage Park, 13099 65th St. in Eastvale. Enjoy a red wagon parade, pumpkin patch, family fun zone, food vendors and a haunted maze. For more information, visit www.jcsd.us.

The 11th annual Eastvale State of the City will take place on October 6, at 6 p.m. The State of the City will be held at VantagePoint Church, 8500 Archibald Avenue in Eastvale. Following the State of the City will be the Taste of Eastvale event, which will feature unlimited food from 25 of the City’s best eateries. Those that attend the video portion of the State of the City will receive free entry to Taste of Eastvale. Residents who do not attend the video portion will be required to pay $10 to enter, according to the City.

Another fun fall event will take place on Friday, October 14 at VantagePoint Church. Come by the “Hay, It’s Harvest” event from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Your family will enjoy a hayride, petting zoo, pony ride, face painting, balloon animals, a giant slide, kids activities, food trucks and more!

If your family loves spooky fun, stop by the City’s annual Eek!Vale event on Saturday, October 22 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, October 23, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will take place at 13200 Citrus Street, Eastvale. You will enjoy a fun haunted house tour and haunted maze, pumpkin derby, pumpkin patch, live music, rock walls, inflatables, food trucks, and cultural vendors and art displays. The Eastvale Girls Softball Association (EGSA) will also co-host the annual trunk-or-treat event. All vendor inquiries can be directed to events@eastvaleca.gov.

Another great event is Calvary Chapel Eastvale’s annual Bright Night on October 31. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Orchard Park. Come enjoy a free event of decorated booths, candy, jumpers, music, and food. Visit calvaryeastvale.org for more information.

Eastvale – Events take place in Eastvale every month. Below is a list of local events you can save the date for. –

JCSD is hosting their 65th Street LIVE! Concerts in the Park every Friday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Harada Heritage Park, 13099 65th St, Eastvale. Come enjoy a night under the stars with great music and amazing food. The bands that will be playing are: Space Oddity (tribute to David Bowie) on July 29; Elton and the Early Years (Tribute to Elton John) on August 5; DSB (Tribute to Journey) on August 12.

JCSD is also hosting their Movies in the Park series on Saturdays around 8 pm at Half Moon Park. ERHS Booster Club provides a Snack Bar booth as well. Follow them on Facebook to verify dates and which movie will be playing. 

The EATSvale Food Truck Festival will also take place on July 29. The Food Truck Festival will be held at 13200 Citrus Street in Eastvale. More information will be updated soon.  

The City of Eastvale will be hosting this year’s National Night Out event on August 2 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Harada Heritage Park. “National Night Out promotes police-community partnerships and unity in the community,” stated the City. The event will feature a public safety meet and greet, interactive demonstrations, live music, kids activities, raffles, bouncers, food, and giveaways. Several local agencies will also be in attendance, supporting our annual community-building campaign.

The last event is the 11th annual Eastvale State of the City event on Thursday, October 6, at 6:00 p.m. The State of the City event will be held at Vantage Point Church, 8500 Archibald Avenue, Eastvale. This year’s theme will be “Envision Eastvale”. The City said: “We’re excited to spend the night envisioning the city’s future!”

A lot of events have been cancelled in 2020, but holiday cheer is still happening in the city of Eastvale. There are a few holiday and family fun events that will take place virtually or with socially distancing. Check out what’s offered below.

Letters to Santa

When: November to December 14

Where: Eastvale Community Center, 13820 Schleisman Rd., Eastvale CA 92880

Details: The Eastvale Community Center will be receiving letters to Santa for a Special delivery to the North Pole! Drop off or mail your letter before December 14th to ensure it gets to Santa in time. The mailbox will be open Mondays – Fridays from 8:30 AM- 4:30 PM.

Christmas Marketplace and Tree Lighting

When: December 4 from 5 to 9 pm

Where: VantagePoint Church, 8500 Archibald Avenue, Eastvale

Details: Support small businesses at this Christmas marketplace and enjoy some tasty treats and live music to get you into the holiday spirit. Also get a socially distanced photo with Santa! Santa is coming at 5:45 p.m. and the tree lighting will be at 6 p.m.

Virtual Tree Lighting

When: December 4 at 6 p.m.

Where: JCSD Youtube or Facebook 

Details: Virtual Tree Lighting will take place with community performances by On Pointe Dance Studio, JCSD Tiny Tot Participants, and the Eastvale Symphony Orchestra. There will also be a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus! Tune in as we kick off the holiday season!

Winter Wonderland Donations

When: Send by December 10

Details: Corona-Norco United Way is hosting their annual Winter Wonderland event providing holiday cheer to 100 families! This year for Winter Wonderland, they will be issuing “Mystery Boxes” for participants. The boxes will be large boxes customized to each participant-beautifully wrapped and will include items such as food vouchers/gift cards, a toy or ball, a game, COVID-19 supplies, and gift cards for teens! Donations can be provided by PayPal Corona-Norco United Way, at www.unitedway.org/donateor checks can be made out to Corona-Norco United Way and mailed to P.O. Box 1809, Corona, CA 92878-1809. Friday Flicks and Food Trucks

When: December 11

Where: Eastvale Community Park, 12750 Citrus Avenue, Eastvale, CA 92880

Movies: The Grinch (animated) from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Polar Express is from 8:15 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Details: Tickets are $25 per vehicle and must be purchased online at the JCSD website. Gates open 45 min before showtime.

•Food trucks will be located on the North East Corner of the Concession Building in the parking lot.

• Restrooms and handwashing stations will be onsite. Restrooms will be sanitized frequently.

• You must not leave your assigned parking space area except to visit the restrooms or to pick up your food from the food trucks. No congregating with others outside of your vehicle group is permitted.

• Masks must be worn whenever you are unable to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet between you and others outside of your vehicle group.

• Moviegoers are welcome to bring in food and drinks. Food trucks will have food available for purchase. For a current listing of food trucks scheduled, please follow us @jcsdparks.

• No: Alcohol and/or Smoking/Vaping, walkups to the event site permitted, no animals allowed (with the exception of service animals)

Eastvale Home Decorating Contest

When: Submissions due by December 15

Details: The City of Eastvale and JCSD Parks & Recreation Department are in search of the BEST Holiday Display in Eastvale!
