Inland Empire – In the last month, a few incidents took place in the City of Eastvale.  The incidents are listed below, courtesy of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. 

INCIDENT: Vehicle Burglary

INCIDENT DATE: May 28, 2021

WHERE: 7100 Block of Rivertrails Dr., Eastvale

DETAILS: On May 28, 2021 at 3:16 am, Eastvale deputies responded to the 7100 block of Rivertrails Drive, in the city of Eastvale, for a vehicle burglary in progress. When the deputies arrived, the suspects had fled the scene. Deputies searched the area and located two male suspects wearing ski masks being chased by a homeowner from a nearby street. The suspects were detained and identified as Randal Amari (18 year old resident of Los Angeles) and a 17 year old juvenile (resident of Moreno Valley).  The suspects were found to be in possession of several watches, cell phones, three backpacks, and a replica firearm. Preliminary investigation indicated the suspects were in the neighborhood stealing from unlocked vehicles. Both suspects were charged for conspiracy to commit a crime and petty theft. Amari was subsequently booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center and the juvenile was released to his parents, pending criminal charges.

INCIDENT: Marijuana Indoor/outdoor Cultivation Warrants

INCIDENT DATE: May 21, 2021

WHERE: 13900 block of Camp Rock., city of Eastvale and the 9600 block of 51st., city of Jurupa Valley

DETAILS: Members of the Jurupa Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Teams (SET) representing the cities of Eastvale and Jurupa Valley have been aggressively targeting illegal indoor and outdoor marijuana grows throughout the cities of Eastvale and Jurupa Valley in 2021.

Deputies assigned to the SET team received complaints from residents of the city of Eastvale and Jurupa Valley regarding possible illegal indoor and outdoor marijuana cultivations. The SET deputies investigated and determined that properties located in the 13900 block of Camp Rock., city of Eastvale and the 9600 block of 51st., city of Jurupa Valley, had been converted to support illegal indoor/outdoor marijuana cultivation and there was evidence that marijuana plants were being cultivated on the properties, along with theft of utilities.

On May 21. 2021, at 10:05 AM, members from the Jurupa Valley station’s SET team served two marijuana cultivation related search warrants on the properties located at the above addresses within the cities of Eastvale and Jurupa Valley. During the service of the search warrants, deputies recovered approximately 1,353 marijuana plants and 90 pounds of processed marijuana from the locations. Also, a combined theft of electrical utilities from the residence’s worth $90,000.

The following subjects was arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation, maintaining and operating a drug house, possession of marijuana for sales and theft of utilities. Subsequently, they were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center: Wencong Chen, Hugo Ulices Infante, Julio Cesar Fierros

Eastvale Code Enforcement and Southern California Edison responded to the location in the city of Eastvale and they conducted their own separate investigations into various building and safety code violations.
