1. Fromi USA is recalling its 7 cases of Soureliette cheese and 2 cases of Tomme Brebis Fedou because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

2. S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) is voluntarily recalling certain of its smokeless tobacco products, listed in the chart below, manufactured at USSTC’s facility in Franklin Park, IL. USSTC has notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the recall and is working with federal authorities on this matter. USSTC initiated the recall after receiving eight consumer complaints of foreign metal objects, including sharp metal objects, found in select cans.

3. Thorley Industries LLC d/b/a 4moms (4moms) is recalling certain 4moms Self Installing Rear-facing Infant Car Seats, model number 1032, manufactured July 1, 2016, to October 31, 2016. Due to a tight rivet, the affected car seats have a coupling hook that may not properly engage around the coupling pin, preventing the infant carrier portion from securely attaching to the seat base.

4. Baby Trend, Inc. (Baby Trend) is recalling certain Hybrid LX 3-in-1 Centennial booster seats, model number FB58181, manufactured on July 23, 2016, and Hybrid LX 3-in-1 Kiwi booster seats, model number FB48417, manufactured on July 14, 2016. The affected child seats have a center adjuster rivet that may pull through or break if the harness is being used with a child weighing more than 40 lbs. As such, these child seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 213, “Child Restraint Systems.”

5. Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (Continental) is recalling certain General Tire Grabber light truck tires, size 33×12.50R18 LT 118Q, Load Range E, manufactured May 3, 2015, to May 16, 2015 (DOT week codes 1815 and 1915). These replacement tires may have a lack of adhesion within the belt package, causing tread wear, tread bulging, and possible tread separation.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to specific types of allergen, such as peanuts, run the risk of serious life threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product being recalled.

2. Minnie and Mickey Mouse infant hoodie sweatshirts- The snaps on the hoodies can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

3. Children’s shoes (Skidders)-The rivets on the children’s shoeshave sharp edges, posing a laceration hazard.

4. Marich Confectionery of Hollister, California is voluntarily recalling 4.25oz Valentine Chocolate Caramel Hearts UPC CODE 797817-44440-9 because it may contain Triple Chocolate Toffee which contains almonds. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

5. Projection night lights– The night lights can short circuit, posing shock and fire hazard to consumers.
6. Kia Motors America is recalling certain one 2016 Optima vehicle. In this vehicle, the end seal for the driver’s frontal air bag inflator may not have been properly installed, possibly resulting in reduced inflation of the frontal air bag in the event of a crash.

1. Burger’s Ozark Country Cured, a California, Mo. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,905 pounds of fully cooked turkey products due to misbranding.

2. F. Stauffer Biscuit Co., Inc. is voluntarily recalling one specific best by date of 32 oz. Original Animal Cracker because they may be packaged with other cookies that contain milk powder. People who are allergic to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

3. Blue Ridge Beef is voluntarily recalling one (1) of its frozen products due to their potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria can affect animals eating the product. There is a risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surface exposed to these products.

4. Trek 720 Disc bicycles and wheel sets-The front brake caliper can come into contact with a broken spoke, posing a fall hazard to the rider.

5. Pirelli Tire LLC is recalling certain P Zero All Season tires, size 275/40R19 101W, manufactured January 11, 2016, to October 29, 2016, as an original equipment fitment exclusively for certain Maserati cars. Due to an incorrect carcass component, the affected tires may develop cracks in their lower sidewall, possibly resulting in a loss of air.

6. 4. Dutch Valley- As a result of an ingredient supplier recall, Dutch Valley is issuing a recall on Cappuccino Snack Mix due to the potential for it to be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
5. Cynthia dressers- The recalled chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in death or injuries to children.
6. Hostess Brands, LLC is voluntarily recalling its Holiday White Peppermint Hostess® Twinkies® because of a recall by Blommer Chocolate Company of the confectionary coating used on the Holiday White Peppermint Hostess Twinkies product. The confectionary coating contains milk powder ingredients recalled by Valley Milk Products, LLC due to a concern of Salmonella contamination. No illnesses have been reported to date, and none of the confectionary coating sampled has tested positive for Salmonella. However, Hostess is initiating this voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution.
7. Bad Boy off-road utility vehicles– The off-road utility vehicles lack seat belts, posing a risk of serious injury or death to the operator and passengers in the event of a vehicle accident.

2. Mann Packing is voluntarily recalling 205 cases of 18 ounce Organic Veggies with Organic Ranch Dip in a snacking tray because the product may contain mislabeled ingredients that could pose an allergen risk; specifically egg, milk, soy and mustard.

3. Kids toy shovels and garden tool sets- Excessive lead paint levels on the yellow shank and black blade on the shovel, and the black paint on the garden tool set violates the federal lead paint standard. In addition, the black plastic shovel handle and bag clip on the garden tool drawstring bag contain excessive lead content levels, a violation of the federal lead standard. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effect. 

5. Bakers of Paris is recalling plain, almond, and chocolate croissants sold in 18 Northern California Whole Foods Market stores due to an undeclared allergen. The croissants, sold individually in self-service cases and in clear plastic packs of four, are made with an egg wash which is not declared on the ingredient list. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product. No allergic reactions have been reported to date.

7. Rock Salt Lamps- The dimmer switch and/or outlet plug can overheat and ignite, posing shock and fire hazards.

5. Kraft Heinz Company, a Fullerton, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 959 pounds of ready-to-eat "Lunchables Ham and American Cracker Stackers" packaged lunch products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

6. Kiwi Care Package Company, a South Tahoe, Calif., establishment, is recalling approximately 90 pounds of Wattie’s canned spaghetti with sausage that was not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection and was received from a New Zealand establishment that was not eligible to export product to the U.S.

7. Joyrider three-wheeled scooters- The front wheels of the scooter can detach when riding, posing a fall hazard.
8. KingQuad 750 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs)- The ATV’s battery can fail and cause the engine to stop running while in use, posing a crash hazard.

1. Herrs Foods Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of some chipotle-flavored potato chips due to possible salmonella contamination. The recall covers Herr’s smoked chipotle-flavored kettle cooked potato chips and Peddler’s Pantry smoke-dried chipotle-flavored kettle cooked potato chips.

2. King Meat Services, Inc., a Vernon, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 50,991 pounds of beef products due to misbranding.

3. Continental Tire the Americas, LLC is recalling certain Crosscontact LX20 tires, size P275/55R20 111S, manufactured May 3, 2015, to May 9, 2015. The tires, sold as replacement tires as well as original equipment on certain General Motors full size trucks and SUVs, may have insufficient adhesion within the belt package, resulting in tread wear, vibration, noise, or bulging areas on the tire.

4. Kia Motors America is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Sorento vehicles manufactured October 27, 2014, to August 25, 2016, and 2017 Sportage vehicles manufactured December 10, 2015, to August 26, 2016. The affected vehicles are equipped with an accessory trailer hitch wiring harness that, due to a malfunction of the tow hitch module, may result in the trailer brake lights being constantly illuminated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, ” Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”

5. Qbit strollers– A gap in the stroller’s folding side hinge can pinch a caregiver’s hand during unfolding, posing a laceration hazard. In addition, the stroller can fold unexpectedly during use, posing an injury and fall hazard to the caregiver and child.

1. VanLaw Food Products, Inc. is initiating a voluntary recall of WinCo Brand Ranch Dressing with code date of Best By 08/23/17. The back label was mislabeled with WinCo Fat Free Ranch Dressing label, and in particular the label is missing an egg allergen declaration.

2. Williams-Sonoma of San Francisco, CA is voluntarily recalling limited quantities of WILLIAMS-SONOMA MEYER LEMON POPPY SEED QUICK BREAD, as it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The ingredient supplier has issued a recall of the bulk milk powder.

3. Houdini Inc. of Fullerton, California is recalling limited quantities of Blue Cheese Savory Twists, 7 oz box after the FDA found traces of Salmonella at the manufacturing facility of the ingredient supplier for the powdered buttermilk used to make the Blue Cheese seasoning in these products. Although no pathogenic bacteria have been found in the powdered products supplied to our Savory Twist supplier by the ingredient manufacturer, nor in any of the Blue Cheese Savory Twists themselves, we have decided out of an abundance of caution to recall products produced from the specific lots purchased from this ingredient supplier.

Evenflo Company, Inc. is recalling certain Evolve 3-in-1 Combination Booster Seats, model number 34411700 manufactured February 26, 2015, to February 9, 2016 and model number 34411741 manufactured May 27, 2015, to February 9, 2016. The affected seats have a button for adjusting the harness tightness. The child in the seat can access this button and loosen the harness without the caregiver’s knowledge.

5. Baby Jogger, LLC is recalling certain City GO Infant Car Seats (models BJ64510 and BJ64529), City GO Base for infant car seat (models BJ80400 and BJ61500); City Mini Infant Car Seat/Stroller Travel Systems (model BJ72510); and Vue Lite Infant Car Seat/Stroller Travel Systems (models BJ70411, BJ70424, and BJ70431). The affected child seats have information on the labels, instruction manual and registration card that is either the wrong size, has an incorrect background color, or is in the incorrect order or is missing. As such, these seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, “Child Restraint Systems.”

6. Graco Children’s Products Inc. is recalling certain Milestone child seats, model numbers 1910130, 1923980, 1926538, and 1926539, for failing to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, “Child Restraint Systems.” The affected child seat have labels that are missing the required phrase “Secure this child restraint with the vehicle’s child restraint anchorage system (LATCH) if available or with a vehicle belt.”

4. Lexibook® Baby Bath Seats and Chairs-The bath seats/chairs fail to meet the federal safety standard, including requirements for stability and the bath seats can tip over while a baby is in it, posing a drowning hazard to babies.

5. Cabot wood cleaner and wood brightener products– A faulty cap seal can cause the containers to leak contents, posing a chemical hazard to consumers. Inhaling, ingesting or skin contact with the product can cause burning and other injuries.

Sager Creek Foods, Inc. of Walnut Creek, CA a subsidiary of Del Monte Foods, Inc., announced a recall of approximately 15,000 shipped cases of FIELD PEAS WITH SNAPS and GREEN BEAN PRODUCTS, primarily non-retail, which may have the potential for trace amounts of shellfish contamination. A customer alerted Sager Creek to the incident.
