It’s Time To Clean Your Dryer Vents

Staff Reports

Corona – Many make a habit of cleaning their home, but how often do you clean your dryer vents and HVAC ducting?

Owner and operated of Corona Dryer Vent Cleaning, Kevin Blue, says, “It’s important to know the dangers of neglecting a clogged dryer vent.” A clogged dryer vent can be a fire hazard and a health hazard, according to hbairduct.com. When it’s clogged, it can send carbon monoxide back in to your home or it can possibly catch on fire.

However, Corona Dryer Vent Cleaning can help! They are simply the best at cleaning, repairing, replacing and rerouting dryer vent lines. They can also do the same for your HVAC ducting.

Dryer Vent Cleaning has been family owned and operated since 1982. “We are the little company who covers a very large area,” said Blue. “We believe in family, we love God, and we value our community.”

They are the champions in their industry because they offer “upfront pricing and deliver only quality service,” said Blue.

Blue has been in the cleaning industry since 1982.  He found a love for the industry right out of high school.  Blue received his first IICRC certification in 1982 where he became an IICRC Carpet Cleaning Technician.  From then on, he never looked back. Over the years, the certifications started adding up.  A few of his first titles and certifications include Upholstery Cleaning Technician, Drapery Cleaning Technician, Stone and Tile Certification, and Pet Odor Removal Certification. “By 1999, I was certified to do crime scene clean up, flood damages, and so much more.”

In 2000, Blue started moving away from carpet, upholstery and drapery cleaning and soon began air duct and dryer vents cleaning jobs. Blue received a certification from Air-Care of Nevada as an Air System Handler Cleaning Technician.  This allowed him to be certified to clean HVAC Systems using the Negative Air Flow Process and Air Duct Decontamination. In 2002, he went to Dallas Fort Worth to be certified by Roto-Brush International for the Roto Brush Process and the Contact Agitation. In addition, Blue also said they received a few national certifications for Commercial and Residential Air Duct Cleaning and Decontamination.

“In 2015, I joined the NCSGA National Chimney Sweep Guild of America, and CSIA Chimney Sweep Institute of America,” said Blue. This is where he received another National Certification called a C-DET Certified Dry Exhaust Technician.

Blue and his company are more than qualified to clean your dryer vents and HVAC ducting. However, what makes them a quality company is that they love to get up in the morning and do their job.  “I do what I do because I love the challenge of waking up every-morning traveling to the South Bay, I.E., South and North Orange County, or wherever the job leads me to perform quality work,” said Blue.

Dryer Vent Cleaning Company has three offices located in Corona, Huntington Beach and Hawthorne. Call 562-441-4111 to schedule an appointment today or visit their website at hbairduct.com. They also offer discounts to Military (past and present), Educators, First Responders (Firefighters, Police Officers, EMT), and seniors.

Package Safety for the Holiday Season

Staff Reports

Package thieves are hard at work during the holiday season. The pickings are ripe when you can drive through a neighborhood, see packages sitting on front porches that won’t be touched for hours. With online shopping being so prevalent, those packages will contain some valuable commodities for them to be enticed by.

Here are some safety tips for package delivery for the upcoming holiday season:

10 Holiday Package Delivery Safety Tips

1. DELIVER TO YOUR OFFICE

If your place of work allows it, have your packages delivered right to your office. You may not be able to get weekend delivery if you’re not there, but it would be a convenient, safe way to handle package delivery when you can’t be home to wait.

2. USE PICK UP POINTS

Different than a P.O. Box, delivery services are setting up temporary delivery points for you to have your packages delivered to. You can then pick up your packages on your way home from work. Amazon Locker and UPS’ Access Point Network provide those areas in local grocery stores, convenience stores, storefronts and more.

3. USE A TEMPORARY PO BOX

Many delivery services such as UPS or FedEx will not deliver to a traditional P.O. Box address, but will deliver to a street address that just happens to be in a Postal Delivery Service Office. Many of those offices will even call you when you have a package arrives, and take a photo of it for you to see ahead of time. The UPS Store has this service, as well as many privately owned companies. Check your local listings to find one a location near you, then rent the P. O. Box through the season. Be mindful of contract times and fees.

4. REQUEST A RE-ROUTE OR RE-DELIVERY

You can request that a package be held at the delivery facility of your deliverer, rerouted to another location, or delivered on another day.

  • Call UPS or FedEx once you have a tracking number from the company you’ve purchased from, and have UPS or FedEx hold the package at their facility for pickup later.
  • Use  FedEx’s Delivery Manager, and UPS My Choice, premium memberships, which allows you more choices in re-delivery.

5. USE A NEIGHBOR’S HOUSE

Keeping your packages safe during the day is hard if you’re working all the time, but you can find a neighbor who may be willing to accept deliveries for you. Or, if you’re the entrepreneurial type, start a service for a small fee for friends and family. You can become your own Amazon Locker!

6. USE A WIRELESS HOME MONITORING SYSTEM

Use a wireless door monitor, such as Ring, that allows you to see your porch. You’ll know when packages are delivered, and will be able to see visitors, even when not at home. It works through a wi-fi-enabled camera at your door and an app on your phone. You can set off alarms for snoopers, as well as ask questions to those approaching.

7. REQUEST A SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION

Requesting a signature delivery is a little harder in this day of order and drop, but you may be able to call the delivery service to request a required signature for a package using the tracking number. This insures that the package isn’t just dumped. Packages sent through USPS have the option for a small fee.

8. REQUEST A KNOCK

Our UPS delivery folks are hit and miss with this quick convenience. It is helpful to hear that a package has been delivered, even when you’re home, so that you can pick it up, instead of it sitting outside. So request it in the notes on your order form, call your delivery service with tracking number and put that request in, etc. You are not going to be guaranteed a knock, but it is a note that will be on the delivery for the carrier.

9. CREATE A DELIVERY CORNER

You may be able to hide smaller package deliveries behind planters or decorations on your porch. This is not a guarantee that a delivery person will actually put a package there, but many try to make sure that packages are put in places that don’t draw attention. There is also the Package Guard, a Wi-Fi-enabled device that alerts you, through an app, when a package has been delivered to your house, and sets off a loud alarm if anyone unauthorized tries to steal the package. You can program it, to allow a neighbor to pick it up for you, but unauthorized ‘pick ups’ will be alarmed.

10. GIVE THEM A VIRTUAL KEY

Amazon Key is a new program that puts a keypad lock on your door that is accessible to anyone you give the code to. You get notifications on your phone app that a service has used the lock. Amazon deliverers place your package just inside the door, are recorded on video, and you receive notification. You can also use the service to allow cleaners, dog walkers, etc., into your home with the same service. It’s $250 to begin the service, Amazon installs for you, and it gives you an option for safe package delivery if you have concerns about your package, your neighborhood, and all other options have been exhausted.

I’ll be honest, this last program is one that we wouldn’t use for our home, but I understand the convenience factor for so many. It isn’t any different than having a cleaner or dog walker coming to your home to provide service when you aren’t there, but at least those folks have been vetted personally. I’m sure the service is bonded, and regulations are in place that the deliverer cannot be in the home longer than thirty seconds, it’s just not something I’d be comfortable with. I’d love to hear your experience if you have used it, though.

Holiday Package Delivery Safety Tips — keep those gifts from the heart safe from thieves during the holiday season and anytime during the year! Don’t let Christmas holidays be ruined by thieves, protect your deliveries!

Other alternatives for package delivery safety

  • Purchase a lock box for your front porch
  • Purchase a mailbox with secured access
  • Place a hold on mail and pick up at post office
  • Insure your packages – it may not stop a thief, but it may get you your money back or items replaced at no cost to you!

DUI Checkpoint Results

Staff Reports

Eastvale/Norco – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department conducted two DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoints recently, one in Eastvale and one in Norco.

The Eastvale checkpoint started on Friday, August 30 at 7 p.m. and ended on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 3 a.m.  The checkpoint took place at Schleisman Road and Archibald Avenue.  There were a total of 2,500 vehicles screened. The results included one DUI arrest, 25 Field Sobriety tests conducted, and 18 drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended/revoked.

The Norco checkpoint started on Friday, August 16 at 8 p.m. and ended on Saturday, August 17 at 3 a.m.  The checkpoint took place at Hamner Avenue and Alhambra Street.  There were a total of 961 vehicles screened. The results included one DUI arrest, 10 Field Sobriety tests conducted, and 8 drivers cited/arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended/revoked.

DUI Checkpoints are usually placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests. Funding for DUI enforcement is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reminds drivers to avoid getting behind the wheel after drinking or using drugs that affect your ability to drive safely. Driving while impaired is illegal, whether it is alcohol, prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications or marijuana.

In 2017, 1,120 people were killed in alcohol-involved crashes on California roads, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The Norco Sheriff’s Station reminds drivers that “DUI Doesn’t Just Mean Booze.”  If you take prescription drugs, particularly those with a driving or operating machinery warning on the label, you might be impaired enough to get a DUI. Marijuana can also be impairing, especially in combination with alcohol or other drugs, and can result in a DUI.

Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with DUI can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to be upwards of $13,500, according to the Sheriff’s Department. This includes fines, fees, DUI classes, license suspension and other expenses not to mention possible jail time.

“There are so many ways to get home safely without driving,” said Jurupa Valley Station’s Eastvale Traffic, Sergeant Gutierrez. “Driving while drunk or high is dangerous, irresponsible and causes too many senseless tragedies. We hope that drivers get the message that driving impaired will never be tolerated.”

The Norco Sheriff’s Station issued a statement with these tips to ensure you have a safe night of fun that doesn’t involve a DUI

  • Always use a designated sober driver – a friend who is not drinking, ride-share, cab or public transportation – to get home.
  • See someone who is clearly impaired try and drive? Take the keys and help them make other arrangements to find a sober way home.
  • Report drunk drivers – Call 911.
  • Hosting a party? Offer nonalcoholic drinks. Monitor who is drinking and how they are getting home.

Staff Reports

Norco– On Monday, July 22 to Thursday, July 25, an Active Shooter Training took place at Norco High School. Jurupa Valley Station patrol and investigative personnel partnered with the Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) to prepare and create a plan of action if an active shooter was ever on campus.

“The Jurupa Valley Station and the Corona-Norco Unified School District are committed to the safety of our students, faculty, and community,” stated a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department news release.

The Jurupa Valley Station Training Unit, School Resource Officer Unit, and Special Enforcement Team facilitated the 4-day training which consisted of “realistic, close-range, lethal and non-lethal scenarios simulating an active shooter event,” according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. “Under simulated stress, the scenarios created a positive training environment and helped department members strengthen the critical skills needed to respond to and effectively operate during such an event.”

The Jurupa Valley Station issued a statement to thank the following allied entities for their participation in the 4-day training: Riverside Community College District Police Department (Norco College), Perris Station, Robert Presley Detention Center, Smith Correctional Facility, and the Norco High School administrative staff.

In addition, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said, “anyone making threats or reports of violence against any of [the CNUSD] schools will be thoroughly investigated and held accountable for their actions.”

For questions, concerns, or additional information, please contact Jurupa Valley Station School Resource Officer Supervisor, Sergeant Edward Soto, at (951) 955-2600.

The Paramedic Squad members “are each well versed in their positions and exemplary employees who all want to be a part of the Eastvale community,” according to the City.

The Eastvale City Council approved to add the Paramedic Squad to Fire Station 27 as part of the 2019-2020 Adopted Budget in May.

“As one of Riverside County’s youngest cities, I am honored to partner with the City of Eastvale to increase our level of Fire Services,” said Battalion Chief, Richard Tovar. “This Paramedic Squad will provide coverage to our growing community of Eastvale to allow us to better protect our highest values at risk, the residents.”

Inland Empire – Last month, several crime incidents took place in the surrounding area.  See a below of crime in the month of July.

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic collision

WHEN: July 4, 2019

WHERE: Sixth Street cross of Temescal Avenue, Norco

On July 4, at about 9:16 p.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision off Sixth Street cross of Temescal Avenue in the city of Norco.

An investigation revealed a “Chevrolet El Camino was traveling southbound on Temescal Avenue at a high rate of speed,” according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. “The vehicle struck a Toyota Tundra in the intersection, which was traveling westbound on Sixth Street. The force of impact caused the Toyota Tundra to flip onto its roof and slide across the intersection. Both vehicles came to rest on the southwest portion of the intersection into the oncoming lanes of traffic.”

The driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old male from Norco, was found trapped and unresponsive on scene. When Cal Fire and American Medical Response arrived to the scene, they pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.  The sole occupant of the Toyota Tundra was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

INCIDENT: Fourth of July 2019 Fireworks Enforcement Operation

WHEN: July 4, 2019

WHERE: City of Eastvale

The Eastvale Police Department, in conjunction with City of Eastvale Code Enforcement, Riverside County Fire, and Riverside County Animal Control, developed response plans to educate the public and to enforce all laws related to the illegal use and possession of fireworks within the city limits.

On July 4, 2019, a proactive operation was conducted on 4th of July at 5 PM and ended on July 5, 2019, at 2:00 AM to combat the illegal use of fireworks in the City of Eastvale.  The following information was reported:

  • Deputies responded to 31 calls for service related to fireworks that were received through the Sheriff’s Department Dispatch Center and the Riverside Sheriff’s Department’s on-line reporting site.
  • A total of 14 citations were given to subjects in violation of the Eastvale Municipal Code which prohibits the possession and discharging of fireworks within the city limits.
  • Approximately 100 pounds of unused fireworks were confiscated and collected by the Sheriff’s Hazardous Device Team for destruction.

The Eastvale Police Department would like to remind everyone that fireworks are illegal in Riverside County and the City of Eastvale.  They also would like to encourage the reporting of the illegal use and possession of fireworks by calling the Sheriff’s Dispatch Center at 951-800-950-2444 or through the online reporting on the Sheriff’s Department webpage.

INCIDENT: Telephone Scam

WHERE: Throughout Riverside County

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement regarding an increase in reports of a specific telephone “scam.” The “scam” is described below:

Victims are being called by persons identifying themselves as “agents” of the Social Security Administration. These fictitious “agents” then advise the victim of felonious activity associated with their social security number. The victim is then directed to post a monetary “bond” to prevent an arrest warrant from being issued.

Frequently, victims report that significant lengths are gone through to “establish” the caller’s credibility. In several cases the caller requested a contact number for the local law enforcement agency where the victim lives. The agent directs the victim to wait for a call from the local law enforcement agency. The victim receives a call from a Caller ID identified number naming the local law enforcement agency. The person on the phone identifies themselves as an officer with the local agency, who then directs the victim to comply with the “agent” when called again.  The fictitious agent calls back then threatens the victim with a felony arrest warrant unless a ‘bond” is posted.

The fictitious “agent” advises the bond can be most conveniently taken care of with a Google Play, Apple Pay, Target Gift, Walmart gift, or other commercial gift/payment card.  Once purchased, the victim is directed to read off the coded numbers on the back of the cards to the agent, completing payment of the “bond.” The public should be aware that no police or government agency will ask for or accept a store gift card for payment of a lawful, legitimate fine or fee.

This type of scam has several variations. In addition to callers claiming to represent the Social Security Administration, the IRS, out-of-state police agencies, and other government agencies have also been falsely represented. The consistent theme is the victim is directed to submit the “gift card bond.” The victim is told the “bond” will be refunded when the criminal issue is resolved. Since the cards are purchased then provided to the fictitious agents, there is no mechanism for reimbursing the victim. Similar scams have the victim going directly to the bank for withdrawals.

Anyone wishing to report this type of crime is encouraged to contact Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Telephone Reporting Unit by calling (951) 776-1099.

Closure Lifted At Santa Ana River

Staff Reports

Jurupa Valley – On August 8, the City of Jurupa Valley announced that Downey Park and all access to the Santa Ana River were closed under the direction of the County Environmental Health and Disease Control Department. The closure took place due to a possible outbreak of the Shigella Bacteria in the riverbed.

“This bacteria has caused an estimated 600,000 deaths worldwide annually,” according to the City of Jurupa Valley. “This disease is more common in young children and complications from Shigella could include blood poisoning infections in the human body.” As of August 8, six patients in Riverside County tested positive for this bacteria.

The County staff conducted testing of the Santa Ana River in order to confirm if there was an existence of this bacteria.

After consulting with the Regional Water Quality Control Board and the Public Health Department, the Department of Environmental Health recommended that to the City of Jurupa Valley lift the temporary closure of access to the Santa Ana River, effective Thursday, August 15.

However, the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health issued the following statement:

“The public should be wary that natural waterways do not have the same level of cleanliness as a public swimming pool which has filtration and disinfection safeguards.  Rivers are not regularly tested for the presence of bacteria, as they are naturally flowing bodies of water and testing only provides a snapshot in time. The public should be careful not to ingest the water, thoroughly wash hands after contact, and not leave behind trash or use the river area as a restroom.”

Eastvale State Of The City Was A Success

The Eastvale City Council Members enjoying the State of the City Business Luncheon on July 17.

Staff Reports

Eastvale – Many attended the 8th Annual State of the City hosted by the Eastvale Chamber of Commerce. The theme of this year’s State of the City was Thriving Together.

“There is a saying that you can go faster by yourself, but you can go further together,” stated a City post. “That’s really where thriving together comes into place. Your voice matters and you’re essential to ensuring that Eastvale continues thriving together for generations to come!”

The two-day celebration began on July 17 with a Business Luncheon held at 11:30 a.m. at the Eastvale Community Center.  On Thursday, July 18, residents gathered at 6 p.m. at Eleanor Roosevelt High School for the community event. Mayor Todd Rigby shared the State of the City Address, which included the state of Eastvale, city accomplishments, and goals for the future. The free event also included the city’s popular “Taste of Eastvale”.

“As a long time Eastvale resident, I am proud to serve as Eastvale’s Mayor,” said Mayor Rigby. “I have had the opportunity to watch Eastvale continue to progress and thrive throughout this year and the exciting part is, this is just the beginning and we’re just getting started!” said Rigby.

“In Eastvale, we have an opportunity to create great places for people to connect, prosper, and truly thrive,” said Bryan Jones, City Manager.  “We want to work with the residents of Eastvale to really truly understand what is our potential and what really matters to them when it comes to creating a sense of community and an experience and a feeling that they can truly feel proud to call home,” added Jones.

Last year, the City of Eastvale assembled the Strategic Planning and Goal setting workshop, which included city management, city staff, and public input.  After the workshop, the following six targets were identified as the key pillars for the future: 1) Communication/Community Engagement 2) Public safety 3) Economic Development 4) Organizational Development 5) Finance/Budget and 6) Infrastructure.

Over the last year, the following great things happened in the City:

  • For the 8th year in a row, the City has presented a balanced operating and capital budget
  • The City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report was awarded the prestigious Certificate of Achievement for financial reporting
  • City Staff has made such an impact in the community that many departments have grown
  • A new user friendly City website was launched
  • Public outreach and public workshops have taken place in an effort to include residents in city decisions
  • City Hall has expanded its services, such as now providing Notary and Passport Services
  • A Community Satisfactions Study was launched for the first time this year

The City is also building healthy reserves by setting aside at least six months or 50% of annual regular general fund operating expenditures.  These strong reserves are combined with two land investment acquisitions assets including 7 acres at Hamner Place and 22 acres at Scholar Way and Citrus Street. “We’re investing in our city so it can thrive for decades to come,” as stated in the State of the City video.

In addition, the City also announced the establishments that have recently opened, which include:

  • The Station in Eastvale
  • Café Rio
  • MOD Pizza
  • Starbucks
  • In-N-Out
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods
  • W Cafe
  • Miguel’s Jr.
  • El Pollo Loco
  • Les Schwab Tires
  • Pita Street
  • Creamistry

At the State of the City, several projects and updates were also announced:

  • Two trails will be built through the community in an effort to connect the city schools and parks. This will be funded by the $8 million grant the City was awarded from the State. The City plans to work closely with residents over the next year to design these trails.
  • Limonite Avenue and I-15 Interchange, which is expected to open this November
  • Hamner Avenue Bridge Widening Project, expected to begin construction after the Limonite Interchange is complete.  This will be a six-lane bridge and a multi-purpose trail to replace of the two-lane bridge currently over the Santa Ana River.
  • Limonite Avenue extension, located west of Archibald, across the Cucamonga Creek.  This extension will connect Eastvale to the City of Chino. A design was recently started for this extension.
  • The Merge, expected to include business park buildings and a retail center
  • Hamner Place, expected to have retail and Eastvale’s first hotel
  • More retails stores will open at The Station

The following restaurants and establishments are expected to open as well:

  • Chik-Fil-A
  • Tony’s Chop House
  • Heroes Restaurant and Brewery
  • Sprouts Farmer’s Market
  • Which Wich
  • Quick Quack Car Wash
  • Big Wok Mongolian Grill
  • Eastvale Medical Plaza
  • Staybridge Suites by IHG, including a rooftop bar and vegetarian options

“Community is very important in our city,” said Council Member Jocelyn Yow. “It’s really important that we build that community in City of Eastvale,” added Yow.

In an effort to connect the community, the following events and programs will take place in the City:

  • The Tailgate Fest, a country music festival, expected to take place in August
  • An Arts and Public Places Program will be initiated, including a very special mural that will involve our community

Public safety is also a top priority in Eastvale.  The Sheriff’s Department and Fire Department are doing a great job keeping the community safe, which is why the City was ranked the 12th safest city in the state.  Below are the additions and accomplishments made to the City’s Public Safety:

  • A motorcycle deputy was added
  • An automated license plate reader program was implemented
  • ALPR cameras were installed on patrol vehicles and various entry/exit points throughout the city
  • The Neighborhood Watch Program covers every area in the City; we are one of the first cities in the country that has accomplished this.

However, the City is still looking into how to enhance the City’s safety through collaborative endeavors and advanced technology.  Here is what is expected to be added to increase community safety in the next year:

  • A medic squad, which is a smaller truck that can help respond to critical incidents
  • 10 patrol hours were approved to be added, which equates to two more deputies to be on patrol

Other items that are expected to be launched or pursued in the future are:

  • Business Registration process will be made available online within the next year
  • A local library will be pursued
  • Additional entertainment options will be pursued

In addition, over the next year, the City will launch the Eastvale 2040 plan to help identify where the City should be in 30 years, how to get there, and what the City needs to put in place today so that the city can truly thrive.  This plan will involve a lot of community engagement. “We look forward to your feedback, ideas, and vision as we identify what this plan will foster for years to come!”

Mayor Rigby added a final note about how important the community’s feedback is.  “No matter how young or hold old you are, we believe you have a voice in our community and we want to make sure our community knows that you have a voice,” said Rigby.

WE are Eastvale, thriving together!

Here We Grow Again

DICKS Sporting Goods held its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on July 8.

Staff Reports

Eastvale – Eastvale is continuing to grow with new stores opening and projects starting.

DICK’s Sporting Goods held its Ribbon Cutting on July 8 and its Grand Opening event from July 12 to 14.  The new Eastvale Gateway store is located at 12399 Limonite Avenue.  The Grand Opening included great prizes, fun activities, and a chance to meet professional baseball player Zack Cozart!

DICK’S Sporting Goods, is the largest U.S.-based, full-line omni-channel sporting goods retailer.  The new DICK’S location in Eastvale opened up approximately 75 jobs to the community.

Another exciting announcement is that the Eastvale L.E.D. Retrofitting Project is now in process.  In March 2019, the City of Eastvale purchased 4,100 streetlights from Southern California Edison (SCE) to place within the city limits. “We have now began the process of upgrading to new retrofitted LED lights, making the city streets much brighter at night,” according to City officials.

These new LED streetlight fixtures have been placed strategically in a distribution pattern that will not cast light backwards onto residents’ yards.  They only cast light out far enough to cover the road surface and they will use 75% less energy than traditional streetlights.  In addition, the lights “align with the City’s strategic goal to enhance public safety by creating more visibility,” according to the City.

A total of 1,118 lights have been converted citywide, which completes all the main streets (arterials).  The entire project is expected to be completed by December 2019.

In addition, Eastvale’s newest Shop-Dine-Stay destination, Hamner Place, broke ground on July 12.  Hamner Place will be located off Hamner Avenue and Schleisman Road.  See the Hamner Place article for more information.
